  • System Integrity checking detected a modified system file

I got the following message today, and not sure if I should be concerned or not. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The following list of files have FAILED the md5sum comparison test. This means that the file has been changed in some way. This could be a result of an OS update or application upgrade. If the change is unexpected it should be investigated:

    /usr/sbin/cloudlinux- statistics: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/cloudlinux-top: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/dbgovchart: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/lvechart: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/lve-create-db: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/lveinfo: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/lve-read-snapshot: FAILED
    /usr/sbin/lvestats-server: FAILED
    /sbin/cloudlinux-statistics: FAILED
    /sbin/cloudlinux-top: FAILED
    /sbin/dbgovchart: FAILED
    /sbin/lvechart: FAILED
    /sbin/lve-create-db: FAILED
    /sbin/lveinfo: FAILED
    /sbin/lve-read-snapshot: FAILED
    /sbin/lvestats-server: FAILED

You receive this message from LFD when LFD detect change in file system. LDF run md5sum comparison test and when found some changes, trigger an email.

I think you have received this mail after cPanel/WHM update(After upcp cron). cPanel updated process has updated all these files on your server.

If no update task ran that time, check your system properly. At times, this can be dangerous and can be a security breach by some intruder.
