    Here it is a command that you can use in Linux

    $ sudo dmidecode | grep -C 3 -i date
    BIOS Information
    Vendor: American Megatrends Inc.
    Version: 1.0b
    Release Date: 08/11/2014
    Address: 0xF0000
    Runtime Size: 64 kB
    ROM Size: 16384 kB

    Linux find out BIOS version command

    ## run as root user ##
    dmidecode | less
    ## or use sudo ##
    sudo dmidecode | less



    Sample outputs:
